Prior to her political career, she gained national attention as a spokesperson for Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America after her son Jordan Davis was shot and killed in 2012. Lucy McBath has been a prominent advocate for gun control legislation and social justice initiatives.
